Voices from the Rose Garden!

The Rose Garden houses veterans, the homeless, the mentally ill and people on parole. Since Sherri Slaton took over the Rose Garden she's been trying to clean the place up and make improvements.

For those of us who have no where else to go, this is like home and this is our family that cares for us. We always have a ride to our appointments, to the hospital and to get our medicines.

We get two hot meals a day and we can wash our clothes. We have a church service outside on Saturdays and hope to build a church soon on the property.

If anyone would like to donate any materials to help with the improvements, please contact Sherri Slaton at 254 773-9014.

I am a resident of the Rose Garden. Before I came here, I never really cared about helping anybody; but now that's all I want to do---help others as God has helped us through the Rose Garden.
